We're recruiting a Backend Engineer for our client in central Stockholm!

**The Position**

You'll be joining a fast growing, heavily backed start-up operating in the energy space. The mission is to help energy-intensive businesses adapt in real time to reduce costs, cut carbon, and respond to volatile grid conditions. The product connects directly with physical infrastructure, optimising energy usage through AI-driven forecasting and control.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental player in building the company's platform and design, develop and maintain scalable and high-performance distributed systems. Some of the initial projects will involve building their control plane, API layer and working across most of the stack - Backend, Data, Cloud.

**Requirements**

- 5+ years of production-level experience in owning, building, delivering, and maintaining large distributed systems at scale.
- Strong backend programming skills with Go, Rust or Python.
- Experienced with cloud infrastructure and IaC - Terraform/Terragrunt
- Ambitious, driven and has owned projects end-to-end.
- Living and working in Stockholm.
- Fluent English Speaker

**Bonus**

- Worked on physical/digital systems (IoT, robotics, embedded, etc.)
- Experience in early stage start-ups.
