Mid to Senior Full-Stack Engineer | Equity First

We are building a smarter way to turn spoken content into knowledge people can actually use.

With Knowix, users can upload a meeting, lecture, or podcast and transform it into clear key takeaways, useful visuals, and a polished, fully editable PDF summary. Instead of leaving valuable information buried in hours of recordings or long transcripts, we help people understand, retain, and share what matters.

Our team currently consists of four developers, and the initial version of the product is approximately 90% complete. We are now looking for an experienced engineer who can help us complete the first release, improve the product, launch it, and continue building it as we move towards paying customers.

COMPENSATION

This is a sweat-equity role to start. We are offering meaningful equity vested over time to the right builder.

Once we hit our revenue milestones and secure paying clients, our plan is to transition this into a full-time, salaried position.

We want to be transparent that the position does not currently include a salary.

THE ROLE

We are looking for someone who wants to help build the product and the company, not only complete assigned tickets.

You will work across the full stack, contribute to technical and product decisions, improve existing functionality, and take features from an idea to something people can actually use.

The focus will be on completing the initial release, improving quality and usability, solving technical problems, and helping move the product towards paying customers.

This is not a role where every task will always be fully defined. You should be able to understand a problem, ask the right questions, suggest a practical solution, and take ownership until the work produces a usable result.

OUR CURRENT STACK

• Language: TypeScript across the frontend and backend

• Frontend: Next.js with React

• Backend: Node.js with Express

• Database: PostgreSQL

• ORM and migrations: Prisma

Experience with Docker and either AWS or Azure is useful, but not required.

Experience using Claude or similar development tools is also valuable, provided you understand, review, test, and take responsibility for the code you ship.

• Can contribute a consistent and realistic amount of time

LOCATION AND COLLABORATION

Knowix is fully remote, and we are open to working with people worldwide.

The team is primarily based in the Central European time zone, and ideally you will have enough overlap with our working hours to communicate and collaborate effectively.

We communicate in English, and you should be comfortable using it in day-to-day collaboration.
