We are looking for an experienced
**Senior Logistics Engineer – Projects & Investigations**
to support the development and implementation of efficient material flows and logistics solutions within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on optimizing logistics processes, material handling, plant layouts, automation, and continuous improvement using
**Lean principles**
.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and improve internal and external logistics and material-flow processes using Lean manufacturing principles
- Develop strategies to reduce waste, optimize processes, solve operational challenges, and lower logistics costs
- Develop and implement future material-handling and logistics-flow solutions
- Conduct investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments supporting plant development and master planning
- Evaluate impacts related to cost, investment, staffing, layout, and material flow
- Provide logistics input and documentation for project gates and project decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations
- Support logistics automation and digitalization initiatives
- Collaborate with production, logistics, engineering, project management, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate with international teams to develop common and scalable logistics solutions
**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of relevant experience within logistics, manufacturing, or industrial operations
- Strong experience in material supply, material handling, and logistics flows
- Proven project management experience, including project structures and budgeting
- Good understanding of Lean manufacturing, problem solving, and continuous improvement
- Experience or strong interest in logistics automation
- Ability to lead improvement initiatives and drive organizational change
- Experience working with relevant IS/IT tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a holistic approach
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and influencing capabilities
- Proficiency in Swedish and English
**Meritorious**
- University or college degree in Logistics Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience with Industry 4.0, digitalization, automation, or emerging manufacturing technologies
- Previous experience from automotive or large-scale manufacturing environments
