*Primrock is looking for a project controller with a strong interest in technology and engineering to support our upcoming battery energy storage system (BESS) projects and power infrastructure investments.*

About the role as Project Controller

As a project controller, you work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior management to ensure strong financial and commercial control of our BESS construction projects. The role goes beyond traditional project controlling and requires an understanding of technical scope, engineering interfaces, and cost drivers in complex energy projects. You are responsible for establishing and maintaining project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections. You follow up project costs, variations, and risks in relation to scope, schedule, and technical design choices. You support procurement and contracting activities with cost analyses, payment plans, and evaluation of change orders. You contribute to investment calculations, scenario analyses, and post-project evaluations. You are also responsible for the preparation, review, and reporting of project material in accordance with the Primrock Investment Framework, ensuring that investment decisions are supported by robust, transparent, and well-structured financial and technical analyses. You prepare internal reports and decision material for management and stakeholders, and you support continuous improvement of project control processes.

About you

You have a Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Industrial Engineering and Management, Engineering, Finance, or a similar field combining financial and technical disciplines. You have a solid foundation in project controlling, finance, or cost management, and a strong interest in technology, engineering, and energy systems. Experience or strong curiosity in power systems, infrastructure projects, or battery energy storage is highly valued. You are analytical, structured, and comfortable working with large datasets, cost models, and technical documentation. You can communicate professionally in both Swedish and English, in writing and speech. As the role requires close interaction with engineers and project managers, you are able to translate technical decisions into financial impact and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

About the job

The position is full time (100%) and office-based. It is neither remote nor hybrid. Primrock offers a competitive compensation package. Our office is located at Norra Djurgården, close to Stockholm University. The position will start in January 2026 (or February at the latest).
