Your role:
In the role of Production Technician for the mine in Garpenberg, you mainly work on optimizing the local drift cycle or slab pallet mining.
Depending on who you are and what you have previously brought with you, the role of Production Technician means working towards maximized drift in our gables with minimal overburden against planned design. To create the right conditions, you also work continuously on revising our drilling, charging and ignition plans. In the pallet mining, you work to refine the method and quality-assured the flow of information to ensure that everyone has the right information in the right place.
We are now facing an upcoming challenge where we will mine ore bodies we have not mined with the pallet method before. Here you have the opportunity to share your expertise and be part of an exciting journey to continue developing our working method for method, quality and follow-up to meet the production increase in the coming years.
In order to continue to be a world-class mine and meet the future production level linked to quality and productivity, the role of Production Technician also involves ongoing work to analyze and find areas for improvement. The service also involves ensuring that the machines are available and that we use the right number of machines in an efficient and safe manner, as safety is of the highest priority in our operations.
Your team:
You will be part of the Production Unloading section where you report to the Production Manager and become part of a team of 14 people in different roles. You will work closely with other Production Technicians and Supervisors and have broad cooperation with other departments in the mine.
The position is located in Garpenberg underground, you work during the day Monday-Friday.
Your duties:
Be involved in projects
Work with the planning process
Plan machine purchases
Lead groups in improvement work
Support supervisors with the development of working methods
Review and update checklists and SOPs
Your contribution:
We are looking for you with several years of experience in mining planning or operation and with very good underground experience from a tunnel or mine. We would like you to have an innovative approach to change and development in the industry. The ability to communicate clearly and drive improvement work is of great importance for the role.
As a person, you are structured and solution-oriented. You are driven, good at collaborating and have the ability to get employees to work towards the same goal. As we work structured against set schedules, it is also important that you can work under higher pressure at times and when the work requires it.
In addition, you are analytically inclined with good problem-solving skills. You will manage your work both independently and working in larger groups and in varying forms.
Requirements for the role:
Minimum high school education
Experience from the mining industry or equivalent
Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Computer skills and experience with the Office package
B driving license
Qualifications for the role:
Certification - Explosive class A
