**About the Role**
We are looking for a Lead Engineer Innovation & Development to join our team in Helsingborg.
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of food processing equipment. You will take technical ownership from concept through prototyping and into final product delivery. The role combines hands-on engineering with system-level thinking, bringing together automation, mechanics, and electrical disciplines. Within JBT Marel Freezing Solutions,

**What You Will Do, Day-to-Day**
**Your Daily Work As Lead Engineer Typically Includes**
- In larger projects, you will lead technical development in close cooperation with a project manager.
- In smaller projects, you will take full responsibility – both technically and for overall execution. This mix gives you the chance to work broadly across disciplines while still diving into the details where it matters.
- Beyond traditional engineering you will also contribute to introducing digital tools and machine learning into our development process, designing equipment that becomes smarter, more energy-efficient and more reliable over time.
- The Lead Engineer within JBT Marel Freezing Solutions is accountable for the technical leadership, system design integrity, and successful realization of industrial freezing systems
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across automation, software mechanical, and electrical domains.
- Drive improvements in engineering processes, tools, and ways of working

**Hard Skills & Experience**
- A degree in engineering (mechatronics, software, mechanical, electrical, or similar technical field).
- Proven experience Lead Engineer in a technical, machine-building, or industrial solutions environment
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems involving software solutions, mechanical, and electrical components
- Interest or experience in applying data analysis and machine learning to engineering challenges is a plus
- Comfortable taking responsibility for both technical content and project delivery
- Experience in working with international teams and suppliers is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are a strong asset.
