We are looking for an experienced
**Homologation / Certification Engineer**
to join the Homologation & Certification team in Gothenburg.


In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that new and existing bus products meet applicable
**EU and UN ECE regulatory, statutory, and certification requirements**
. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, testing, technical services, project teams, and type approval authorities.


**Key Responsibilities**

- Prepare, coordinate, and submit documentation required for regulatory approvals and vehicle certification.
- Manage and publish new and updated certificates and approval documentation.
- Represent the homologation and certification function in product development and project teams.
- Coordinate compliance activities for new and existing products, ensuring that statutory and mandatory requirements are fulfilled.
- Plan and coordinate certification tests, evaluations, and technical assessments with testing teams, technical services, and type approval authorities.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on applicable automotive regulations and provide regulatory guidance to engineering and project teams.
- Interpret and assess regulatory requirements and communicate their impact on product development.
- Monitor product changes and ensure continued regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with international teams, internal stakeholders, authorities, and customers to resolve certification and compliance-related matters.
- Maintain accurate regulatory records and ensure certification activities are completed according to project timelines.
- Support continuous improvement of homologation and certification processes.

**Mandatory Requirements**

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with EU and UN ECE automotive regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of automotive homologation and certification requirements.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment.

**Preferred / Meritorious Experience**
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly beneficial:



- Experience as a Compliance Owner / Compliance Responsible.
- Bus homologation or multi-stage type approval experience.
- Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA).
- Experience with KOLA, VDA, VDB, CDM, or CDS systems.
- Experience with AI agent development or AI-based solutions for regulatory/compliance activities.
- Experience working directly with type approval authorities, certification bodies, or technical services.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle and bus-specific regulations.
