Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Functional Safety Compliance Engineer to strengthen our team in Gothenburg.**

**The role**

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Functional Safety Compliance Engineer/Specialist to support the compliance with ISO 26262 parts such as 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. This role involves leading safety compliance engineering activities across the system and software confirmation and verification reviews and delivering safety work products.

**Responsibilities**

• Perform Confirmation and Verification Reviews for functional safety activities in accordance with ISO 26262 Part 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Safety Plan, Safety Test Strategy, FSC, TSC, Safety case, Safety analyses etc.).

• Perform review of safety analysis methods such as FTA, DFA, DFMEA.

• Validate incoming review requests, prioritize based on ASIL, milestones, and SLA risk.

• Conduct review meetings with development teams, document findings and actionable comments.

• Work on deliverables such as review protocols, meeting minutes, and traceability documentation in JIRA.

• Provide timely progress reports including lead times, recurring issues, and effort metrics.

• Collaborate and contribute to work products checklists, standard guidelines, and templates for confirmation reviews.

• Ensure ISO 26262 standards compliance.

• Implement confirmation measures and promote safety culture across teams. Preferred

**Skills & Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial domains.

• Proven experience with ISO 26262 Part-2 to Part 6.

• Strong knowledge in ISO 26262. Classification: Confidential

• Strong knowledge of safety analysis methods such as FTA, DFA, DFMEA etc.

• Experience in system and software safety work product reviews, safety case and hazard analysis.

• Familiarity with automotive development processes.

• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, requirement and documentation management tools.

• Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple reviews and meet SLA targets.

• Certifications: ISO26262 Functional Safety Engineer (Preferred)
