Design Manager | Data Centre Project

Borlänge, Sweden

**Contract:**
Site based contractor role

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to coordinate design activities on a major data centre project in Borlänge. You will be the link between the design teams and those delivering the work on site, helping ensure that technical information is reviewed, approved and available when needed.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate design activities across multiple technical disciplines, including the interfaces between packages.
- Manage design deliverables, review cycles, approvals and changes in line with the project programme.
- Work with designers, contractors, suppliers and the site team to resolve technical queries and design issues.
- Monitor design progress, identify potential delays and help agree practical solutions.
- Support the project team as designs develop and construction progresses.

Experience required

- Experience as a Design Manager or Technical Design Manager on a complex construction project.
- Strong multidisciplinary design coordination experience, ideally involving MEP or building services.
- Confidence managing design reviews, technical queries, changes and interfaces between teams.
- The ability to communicate clearly with both designers and site based delivery teams.

Data centre experience would be particularly relevant, but we would also welcome candidates from pharma, battery, energy or other technically complex projects.
