**Role Description**
This is a full-time, on-site Databricks Engineer role based in Stockholm. The Databricks Engineer will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes on Databricks, ensuring reliable data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple sources. The role includes managing and tuning Spark workloads, implementing data quality checks, and developing reusable frameworks and libraries for data engineering tasks. The engineer will collaborate closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions, support production deployments, and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues. The role also involves maintaining documentation, following best practices for security and governance, and contributing to continuous improvement of data engineering standards.
**Qualifications**
- Candidates should possess strong Databricks and Apache Spark skills, including experience with cluster configuration, performance optimization, and notebook-based development.
- Candidates should possess data engineering skills such as building ETL/ELT pipelines, working with structured and unstructured data, and implementing data quality, monitoring, and governance practices.
- Candidates should possess programming skills in languages commonly used on Databricks (for example, Python, SQL, and optionally Scala), along with experience using version control tools like Git.
- Candidates should possess cloud platform skills (such as Azure, AWS, or GCP) relevant to Databricks deployments, including storage services, security, and resource management.
- Candidates should possess analytical and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and clearly document designs and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, SQL-based analytics, and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms is beneficial.
- Experience with ERP and CRM ecosystems (SAP, Salesforce, or similar) and integrating these systems into data platforms is a plus.
