We’re partnering with a fast-growing, data-driven company that is expanding its Data Science team. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative environment where data plays a central role in shaping commercial and marketing decisions.
This is not an ML engineering role.
We’re looking for a
**business-oriented Data Scientist**
who thrives on solving real commercial problems - someone who can translate ambiguity into structure and turn data into measurable value.

What you’ll be doing?
- Translating business and marketing challenges into structured data science problems
- Defining success metrics and measurable impact
- Designing and executing analytical approaches (segmentation, prediction, experimentation, optimisation)
- Working closely with commercial and marketing stakeholders
- Communicating insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- Contributing to both new marketing initiatives and existing ML use cases
You’ll be treated as a thought partner - not just someone who “builds models.”
What we’re looking for?
Core Profile
- 2+ years of experience in a Data Science or advanced analytics role
- Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred)
- Confident in Python for data analysis and modelling
- Experience turning vague business questions into structured analytical solutions
- Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
You’ll likely thrive here if:

- You’ve worked close to marketing, growth, or commercial teams
- You care about measurable business impact - not just model accuracy

- Marketing analytics or performance marketing exposure
- Experience measuring campaign performance or customer segmentation
- A/B testing and experimentation experience
- Cloud familiarity
- Experience working in companies where Data Science is embedded in business teams rather than isolated
This role is probably not for you if:
- You’re primarily an ML engineer focused on deployment, infrastructure, or MLOps
- You prefer highly defined tickets over open-ended problem solving
- You’ve worked exclusively in research or academic environments without commercial exposure
The Team & Environment:
You’ll join an established Data Science function working alongside experienced colleagues. The team balances traditional ML use cases with new marketing-focused initiatives - and this hire is key to scaling that capability.
Data Science here is collaborative, commercially focused, and less onboarding-heavy than large enterprise environments. You’ll be contributing meaningfully from early on.
