**The Role:**

- Digisourced is seeking a
**Data Engineer**
to lead critical data migration and risk modeling projects for a major financial services initiative.
- You will be responsible for delivering essential data elements for risk models and transitioning legacy application scorecard data into modern recovery datamarts.
- This role requires a high level of technical autonomy and a deep understanding of complex data ecosystems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Data Migration:**
Transfer application scorecard data from various legacy systems into centralized environments.
- **Risk Modeling Support:**
Deliver requested data elements for Risk Models and redirect recovery data targets to the Recoveries Datamart.
- **Pipeline Engineering:**
Build, test, and deploy robust data pipelines, integrations, and transformations.
- **Architecture:**
Utilize the Hadoop stack and Spark to manage large-scale data processing tasks.

**Technical Requirements (Expert Level):**

**To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate mastery in the following:**

- **Big Data Stack:**
Expert knowledge of
**Hadoop (YARN, EMR, Sqoop, Hive, Oozie)**
.
- **Processing Frameworks:**
High proficiency in
**Spark (PySpark)**
.
- **Programming:**
Advanced skills in
**Python, Java, and SQL**
(including package creation).
- **End-to-End Delivery:**
Proven experience in testing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade data integrations.

**Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):**

- Real-time data streaming with
**Kafka**
.
- Expertise in
**Data Warehousing**
and automated data collection.
- Experience in
**Deployment and Release Planning**
.
