**Position Overview**
The Value & Cost Engineer plays a key role in ensuring our products are both cost-efficient and sustainable. You provide accurate cost and climate impact analyses, lead value-engineering workshops, and support agile teams with insights that enable fast, informed decisions. By collaborating closely with innovation, engineering, and sourcing teams, you help identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and guide the development of products that maximize value while minimizing cost and environmental footprint.


**Key Responsibilities**

- Collaborate with engineering- and sourcing teams to address cost, climate, and technical questions,
- Recommending alternative materials and processes to enhance product value while reducing cost and carbon footprint,
- Contribute to agile ceremonies by providing cost and climate insights that enable rapid decision-making,
- Lead Value Engineering workshops focusing on design insights and cost breakdown,
- Develop and maintain should cost models and climate impact assessments (e.g., CO₂ footprint) for components and manufacturing processes,
- Deliver clear, fact-based analyses and explain the underlying data to stakeholders,
- Identify and quantify opportunities for cost savings and carbon footprint reduction,
- Provide fact-based cost and climate estimates for proposed design initiatives and own the mandate to set should-cost and climate impact targets for components and manufacturing,
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and assessing opportunities in cost efficiency and sustainability.

**Qualifications & Skills**

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent,
- 5-10 years experience within product development or manufacturing,
- Good knowledge of production & supply chain,
- Good knowledge of materials, manufacturing methods and technical drawings,
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written, minimum C1 level),
- Previous experience in Cost Management and Carbon footprint is a merit.
