**Chief Designer – Exterior Concept & Vehicle Architecture**

**Contract Role**
Technicon Design is looking for a highly experienced
**Chief Designer**
to lead exterior concept development and vehicle architecture integration. This is a pivotal role that strengthens our clients early-phase and production design capability, ensuring seamless alignment between creative intent, engineering feasibility, and global program requirements.


You will be working in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment, collaborating closely with teams in Sweden and China.


**What You’ll Do**
✅ Lead exterior ideation and early-phase design for advanced and production programs.


✅ Develop strong proportions, form language, and conceptual directions aligned with the clients identity.


✅ Align design intent with technical constraints, supporting package development and feasibility assessments.


✅ Provide on-site leadership at Gothenburg Design Studio and guide designers toward refined proposals.


✅ Frequent travel to China for design reviews, workshops, and executive presentations.


**What We’re Looking For**
✔ 20+ years in automotive design, including exterior design and vehicle architecture.


✔ Strong international background with OEMs or advanced design studios.


✔ Deep understanding of vehicle packaging, BIW structures, aerodynamics, ergonomics, and EV platforms.


✔ Excellent communication in English; Mandarin is a plus.


✔ Ability to mentor designers and adapt to Swedish and Chinese business cultures.
