CHEF/STEW | 24M SAILING YACHT

A 24m commercial sailing yacht is seeking an experienced Chef/Stew to join in November or December.

Currently based in Portland, Maine, the yacht operates a Caribbean/Mediterranean programme and runs with three crew. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is confident managing the galley independently while remaining happy to assist in other areas when required.

The Chef will be responsible for menu planning, provisioning and preparing high-quality meals for both guests and crew. Previous professional chef experience is essential, with yacht and charter experience strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will be well-natured, sporty, resourceful and comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit team.

Requirements:

- Previous professional chef experience
- Charter experience preferred
- Strong provisioning and menu-planning skills
- STCW
- ENG1
- Food Hygiene and Safety certificate
- Seafarer’s Discharge Book
- Fluent English
- Non-smoker with healthy habits
- Excellent references
- Relevant visas depending on nationality
