**The opportunity: Analyst, Institutional Clients Coverage – Nordics**
Being part of HSBC in Sweden, you’ll help evolve and grow our Institutional Clients business across the Nordic region. The role is based in Sweden and reports directly to the Head of Institutional Client Group, Nordic region. You’ll work closely with Senior Bankers and Global Relationship Bankers to support coverage of leading Nordic institutional clients, leveraging HSBC’s international network.


**What You Will Do**
As an Analyst, you’ll strengthen your fundamentals of banking including relationship management, sales and solutions, credit analysis and customer due diligence. You’ll gain exposure to HSBC’s broad product offering and support senior bankers in the origination and execution of solutions across:



- Debt Capital Markets (DCM)
- Acquisition financing and structured finance
- Cash management (Global Payment Solutions) and trade finance (Global Trade Solutions)
- Custody / Securities Services
- Global Markets across asset classes (FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Derivatives)
- Asset management

The client base will be Nordic institutional clients, including banks, asset managers, insurance companies, fintechs, public sector/sovereign-related entities and financial sponsors.


**In This Role You Will**

- Support Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers in day-to-day client coverage and relationship development across the Nordics
- Produce pitch books, client updates, market overviews, relationship reviews and materials for senior client meetings across financing, markets and advisory products
- Identify marketing opportunities; undertake analysis and help prepare proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services
- Track client revenues, wallet share, transaction pipelines, financing needs and broader opportunities across the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) platform
- Work closely with Product teams to support origination and delivery of solutions to clients
- Analyse sector trends, market conditions, funding environments, balance sheet developments and key risks impacting institutional clients
- Support credit work including credit applications, profitability calculations and annual credit reviews
- Coordinate internal approvals, KYC/compliance requirements, due diligence requests and transaction workflows; monitor and follow up on pending KYC items
- Maintain CRM systems and internal databases; prepare management reporting, maintain organisational maps and monitor strategic developments relevant to covered clients
- Ensure prompt and appropriate responses to client enquiries by coordinating with product and support teams
- Take an active role in initiatives beyond core responsibilities, proactively seeking stretch assignments to accelerate learning
- Support revenue generation while ensuring activities align with HSBC’s risk appetite and high standards of conduct

**You Should Apply If You Have**

- Initial relevant experience in banking (institutional coverage, relationship management, credit, markets, or a related field)
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting (or similar); CFA or similar qualification is a plus
- Solid understanding of financial markets/capital markets and corporate banking products; ability to analyse financial statements and client performance metrics
- Demonstrated interest in Corporate & Investment Banking and institutional client coverage
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (and strong general IT capability)
- Fluency in English; preferred: one Nordic language

**What You’ll Get In Return**
The pay range for this role is SEK 575,000 – SEK 630,000
