IES Sundbyberg was established in 2018 and offers outstanding bilingual education to 620 students in grades 4-9 and a fulfilling career opportunity for around 70 employees. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. **IES Sundbyberg is now looking for an Academic Coordinator to teach 50% and 50% work with Academics in the Management team.** The start date is flexible but preferably latest March 2nd. This role requires highly visible leadership and a passion for student safety, well-being and development.
The Academic Coordinator works closely with the Principal regarding the systematic quality work. You will lead the Heads of Departments and work closely with the Assistant Principals as well since the pastoral work goes hand in hand with the students’ needs to make sure they reach their full potential. You will support teachers in the quality of education by analysing academic data like grades and national tests, moderation in department, observe lessons and give feedback to teachers. As a part of the Management team, it is important that you build relationships with staff, students and parents to make sure we all work together towards the school's goals and vision.

Required Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified teacher in Sweden with Swedish Lärarlegitimation or a teacher certificate from abroad.
- Several years of teaching and leadership experience with proven results
- Experience working with Special Educational Needs support
- Previous experience from having staffing responsibility or equivalent is preferred
- Curriculum knowledge (LGR22)
- Understanding of “Skollagen” in relation to teaching and assessment
- Understanding of Förberedelseklass
