Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art at Lund University is a dynamic and creative workplace highlighting artistic process and public art. **Duties and areas of responsibility**
As a museum host, you are the public face of the museum, ensuring that all visitors receive the best possible welcome. You are responsible for the safety of both visitors and the artworks, staff the reception and ticket desk, give introductions and guided tours, and welcome various visitor groups. You play an important role in the overall visitor experience and are expected to deliver a high standard of hospitality.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in modern and contemporary art. You speak English as well as one additional language (Swedish or other) and feel comfortable giving guided tours and interacting with visitors in these languages.
Requirements:
- At least one semester of university studies in art history, architecture, industrial design, fine arts, or in a similar field that the employer deems relevant
- Documented experience of working with customer service and visitor engagement
- Good oral communication skills in English and at least one additional language (Swedish or other) Experience of giving guided tours or other forms of public oral presentations

**Other information**
These (4-6) positions are summer temporary positions (20–40 %) for the period 15 Juni 2026 – 27 September 2026, or as otherwise agreed.
Working hours are irregular, with an average of 38 hours per week for full-time employment and are regulated by a local collective agreement. The number of shifts per week varies, with the highest number of shifts during July-Augusti. See full schedules here.
Please note that mandatory meetings will take place on Wednesday 17 June, 17:15-19:00 and Tuesday 15 September, 17:15-18:30. Work during Kulturnatten / Culture Night on Saturday 19 September, 14:00-22:00, is mandatory.
In addition to scheduled shifts in the museum, the position includes 2 hours of preparation time for the summer exhibition, as well as 8 hours (approximately two shifts) scheduled in September based on operational needs.
